Letters, 1813-1837.

Five items of correspondence in this collection concern negotiations in 1813 with Charles Norris and Company, Exeter, N.H., for the printing of Samuel Worcester's (1770-1821) "Select Harmony," a collection of hymns and tunes. It was published separately in Boston in 1813 and subsequently appeared as Part IV of the second edition of Christian Psalmody in 1817. Among the remaining five items, one is a power of attorney naming Elijah Williams ( - ), Boston attorney, to act on Armstrong's behalf. Two letters are addressed to Howe and Deforest, New Haven, Conn., Booksellers. There is also a rental receipt and an invitation.
